Seattle Mariners Autographed Memorabilia
There are so many Seattle Mariners stars that you won’t know whose memorabilia to collect first
Being a fan of a particular team means that you follow that team completely. Even through the good times and the bad times. You know everything about that team from the history to the players. If you are a fan of the Seattle Mariners, you have a short but rich history to admire. The team has produced some of the biggest names in baseball and those names have produced a lot of baseball history and memorabilia. You aren’t really a Seattle Mariners fan unless you have some Seattle Mariners memorabilia.
The Seattle Mariners are a relatively young team in the Major Leagues. They have only been in existence since 1977. But those few years have made memories for countless Mariners fans. Some of the game’s best and brightest have worn the distinctive teal and dark blue uniforms. Although none of them have had their numbers retired by the Mariners, they will more than likely receive that honor eventually. One of those greats is definitely Ken Griffey Jr.
For 11 seasons, Ken Griffey Jr. was the face of the Seattle Mariners. The son of a former Major Leaguer, he established himself as one of baseball’s all time greatest hitters. Mariner’s fans knew that they were in the presence of greatness when the young Griffey hit a home run in his first at bat before the home crowd in Seattle. From then on, he set a standard that few will ever top. Griffey Jr. was a 13 time All Star, a 10 time Gold Glove winner and one of the best hitters to ever swing a bat. To own a piece of Seattle Mariners memorabilia with his name on it is to own a piece of baseball history.
As Griffey Jr. was starring for the Mariners he was joined by another Mariners great, Edgar Martinez. Edgar Martinez was beloved by Seattle fans throughout his 18 year career, which he spent entirely with the Seattle Mariners. Although starting as a third baseman, he would spend the bulk of his career as a designated hitter. He was so talented in that role that the award for Outstanding Designated Hitter bears his name. Only four other men are so honored to have an award named after them. A great player and humanitarian, his memorabilia is highly sought after as well.
Although he is more known for his time with the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers, Mariners fans love Alex Rodriguez. “A-Rod” started his baseball career with the Mariners and established himself as one of the game’s greatest all around players. His Seattle Mariners memorabilia is rare and is extremely valuable.
The Seattle Mariners have a rich past but their current players are not to be ignored either. Ichiro Suzuki commands respect from baseball fans on both sides of the Pacific Ocean. He has a career batting average in the Major Leagues over .300 and had been one of baseball’s most prolific hitters since he arrived on U.S. shores. The Mariners also have one of the great young pitchers in all of baseball. Felix Hernandez is only 26 years old, but he has already won a Cy Young Award and been to 3 All Star Games. He has even recorded over 1,000 strikeouts. Mariners fans can expect to see his talents for a long time to come.
If you are a Seattle Mariners fan, you have a wide choice of Seattle Mariners memorabilia to select from. It is a selection that most fans don’t have the luxury of.
