Johnny Lattner was a halfback for the University of Notre Dame where he won the Heisman Trophy in 1953, and won the Maxwell Award twice, in 1952 and 1953. Paul Hornung could do it all. After a college career at Notre Dame in which he excelled at both basketball and football, the 1956 Heisman Trophy winner entered the NFL and quickly made his mark with the Green Bay Packers. Hornung put up big stats as a running back, receiver, kicker and occasional passer over the years and earned numerous awards, including NFL Player of the Year honors in 1960 and 1961 and enshrinement in the Hall of Fame in 1986.
